Group-IB signs a distribution agreement with Ingram Micro for Poland

Group-IB, one of the leading solution providers dedicated to detecting and preventing cyberattacks, identifying online fraud, investigating high-tech crimes, and intellectual property protection, has concluded a partner agreement with the Polish division of Ingram Micro, the world’s leading wholesale distributor of technology products and service. Becoming Group-IB’s first official distributor in the country, Ingram Micro will facilitate local companies’ access to Group-IB’s innovative product stack intended for the prevention and investigation of cyberattacks, protection against online fraud and intellectual property misuse.

Poland has been reporting growing cybercrime rate recently. According to CERT Polska’s findings, in 2020, there was registered an over 60-percent surge in the number of detected cybercrimes in the Polish cyberspace, with the majority of them accounting for phishing attacks. The CERT Polska team has also alerted users on the increasing ransomware incidents, in which attackers most commonly compromise their victims via email, RDPs and vulnerabilities in VPN services. By collaborating, Group-IB and Ingram Micro aspire to tackle these and other threats, and provide Polish companies with solutions that proved their effectiveness in over 60 countries of the world.

To successfully resist the rising numbers of cybercrimes, it is crucial for companies to have a proper understanding of what threats and adversaries are relevant to their specific organization. Group-IB has been leveraging this adversary-centric focus in all of its products to defend its customers against particular threats that pertain to their infrastructure. With Group-IB Threat Intelligence & Attribution system, in particular, Polish companies will now have access to organization-tailored data on cyberthreats and attackers and have a tool for analyzing threat actors’ TTPs to proactively hunt for cybercriminals and shield their network infrastructure against possible attacks.

Group-IB Threat Hunting Framework enables security teams of any company to correlate separate events around a cyberattack, analyze malicious code, attribute threats and respond to incidents, while the company’s Fraud Hunting Platform and Digital Risk Protection systems ensure protection against all kinds of online fraud and scams.

We are happy to partner with Ingram Micro to enter the perspective Polish market. Cooperation with strong players in each of the regions of our presence has been the core of our growth strategy. Together with Ingram Micro, we plan to branch out into new markets in Eastern Europe and beyond. Ingram Micro has long-standing experience as a distributor, and we hope that it will become a hub for our local channel activities.
