Group-IB and Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority Sign Memorandum of Understanding to Strengthen Cybersecurity Cooperation

Group-IB, a leading creator of cybersecurity technologies to investigate, prevent, and fight digital crime, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Botswana Communications Regulatory Authority (BOCRA) to strengthen cooperation in tackling cybercrime and enhancing digital threat resilience across Botswana, helping to protect companies and citizens from evolving online threats.

The partnership aims to facilitate threat intelligence sharing, joint investigations, and capacity building in key areas such as digital forensics, incident response, and cybercrime investigations. Under the agreement, Group-IB will support BOCRA in monitoring scams, phishing campaigns, compromised payment records, and underground cybercriminal activity relevant to Botswana.

“We are honored to partner with BOCRA in supporting Botswana’s efforts to build a safer and more secure cyberspace. This MoU marks a significant milestone in our global mission to fight cybercrime through collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing. Botswana is rapidly embracing digital transformation, and with that comes increased exposure to cyber risks. Through this partnership, we aim to bring our world-class threat intelligence capabilities, advanced digital forensics expertise, and proven experience in dismantling global cybercrime networks to support Botswana in detecting, investigating, and preventing malicious activities targeting its digital ecosystem.”
