Group-IB, a leading creator of cybersecurity technologies to investigate, prevent, and fight digital crime, today announced a new collaboration with Nebrija University to strengthen the university’s Master’s programs with real-world predictive threat intelligence, combining globally recognized technologies with localized insights to address region-specific cyber risks. The partnership follows the recent signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), with activities already underway to equip faculty and students with advanced intelligence capabilities.
Under the collaboration, Group-IB has begun onboarding Nebrija University professors through its Train-the-Trainer program, providing hands-on professional development, certification, and collaborative curriculum co-creation. Professors gain direct experience with Group-IB technologies and threat intelligence datasets, including its Unified Risk Platform – an industry-leading solution used by enterprises, governments, and law enforcement worldwide, which is then integrated into the curriculum. Students will gain hands-on experience with enterprise-grade tools as part of their academic training. This approach emphasizes understanding cyber threats from the adversary’s perspective, equipping students to anticipate attacker tactics and respond proactively to evolving threat activity.
To ensure teaching remains grounded in real and locally relevant threat activity, Group-IB is also supplying the university with region-specific threat research and practical cyber intelligence insights tailored to the Spanish threat landscape, threat actors, and regulatory environment. This enables educators to deliver applied learning rooted in current attack trends and adversary tactics, helping students develop the predictive analytical skills needed to anticipate emerging threats.
By bringing together academic excellence and frontline threat intelligence, the collaboration aims to prepare students for the realities of modern cybersecurity work. Group-IB is also supporting career development initiatives, offering internships, practical training opportunities, and mentorship programs. These experiences give students meaningful, industry-aligned exposure, helping them build skills with enterprise-grade tools and real-world threat data before entering the workforce. Exposure to the same intelligence methodologies trusted by enterprises and law enforcement worldwide ensures students are learning within a framework aligned with real operational environments.
“This collaboration with Nebrija University represents a shared commitment to developing the next generation of cybersecurity professionals. By equipping Nebrija University’s programs with real threat data, hands-on tools, and practical intelligence, we are helping students build the analytical, predictive, and adversary-focused capabilities demanded by today’s threat landscape. Investing in cybersecurity education is essential to strengthening the resilience of organizations and economies – and empowering young talent to become the defenders of tomorrow.”

“For our students, this collaboration offers the opportunity to continue learning about intelligence in real-world threats and to enhance their experience with the professional tools they will encounter in the field. Not all students arrive with prior knowledge of cyber intelligence, so access to Group-IB’s resources allows us to continue establishing a solid foundation while preparing them for future career paths.”
