Group-IB, a leading creator of cybersecurity technologies to investigate, prevent, and fight digital crime, announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with I.T Protective Security Services (ITPSS Sdn Bhd)–the commercial arm and information technology subsidiary of Cybersecurity Brunei–create a framework designed to enhance Brunei’s cyber resilience and protect its national interests and vital IT infrastructure.

As part of the cybersecurity framework, Group-IB and ITPSS will collaborate on an extensive range of key initiatives aimed at strengthening Brunei’s cybersecurity for its citizens and businesses, encompassing the sharing on cyber threat intelligence and incident reports, technical assistance for vulnerability assessments and digital forensics, and training programs to enhance cybersecurity awareness and incident response capabilities. It also features emergency coordination protocols to ensure rapid response to cyber incidents.
The partnership will also focus on promoting cybersecurity best practices among businesses and the public, while delivering essential cybersecurity services to Small-and-Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Brunei. The collaboration will also grant access to Group-IB’s Digital Crime Resistance Centers (DCRCs) in the region for rapid analysis and mitigation of regional threats, improve intelligence sharing, and facilitate joint operations against cybercrime within Brunei.
This landmark agreement was signed during the CySEC 2024 event in Brunei, between Shamsul Bahri Haji Kamis, CEO of ITPSS, and Dmitry Volkov, CEO of Group-IB.
