With over thirty years in law enforcement, Craig has also served in advisory roles with organizations like the World Economic Forum’s Centre for Cybersecurity and played a key role in UK law enforcement, managing the National Cyber Security Programme. Craig also led INTERPOL’s contributions to the draft resolution on the United Nations (UN) Convention against Cybercrime, which has been recommended for adoption by the UN General Assembly.
Under his stewardship, Group-IB has contributed to various international cybercrime operations over recent years as an INTERPOL Gateway Partner. Additionally, in INTERPOL-led Operation Synergia, Group-IB identified over 2,400 IP addresses associated with phishing and malware, leading to 31 arrests, 70 more identified suspects, and the takedown of hundreds of C2 servers across multiple countries. In 2023, Group-IB made notable contributions by providing over 1,000 cyber threat indicators in the Africa Cyber Surge II Operation, leading to 14 arrests and the identification of over 20,000 suspicious networks linked to losses exceeding USD $40 million. In the same year, Group-IB contributed to the dismantling of the 16shop phishing-as-a-service platform that resulted in the arrest of its operator and two accomplices that were involved in the creation of more than 150,000 phishing domains. Furthermore, Group-IB’s intelligence in Operation Nervone identified a key OPERA1ER syndicate member, linked to over 30 attacks with stolen funds reaching at least $11 million. Between 2020 and 2022, Group-IB’s participation in the Africa Cyber Surge Operation led to the arrest of 10 individuals tied to scams totaling $800,000, the takedown of a darknet market in Eritrea, and the disruption of over 200,000 pieces of malicious infrastructure across Africa. Between 2020 to 2022, Group-IB also participated in three INTERPOL-led operations aimed at disrupting a transnational phishing syndicate, dubbed TMT by Group-IB (aka SilverTerrier), which resulted in the arrest of 15 suspects in Nigeria.
