During an appreciation ceremony, Wong Wei See, Head of Sales (Asia-Pacific) at Group-IB received the award from Mr. Zhang Weihan, Acting Deputy Commissioner (Investigation & Intelligence) and concurrent Director Criminal Investigation Department of the Singapore Police Force, in recognition of Group-IB support in cybercrime investigation and regional collaboration efforts.

The recognition underscores Group-IB’s contribution of critical investigation data to an international law enforcement operation that led to the arrest of a cybercriminal known as DESORDEN in February 2025. Responsible for over 90 global data leaks—65 in the Asia-Pacific—the hacker, also operating under aliases such as ALTDOS, GHOSTR, and 0mid16B, had been active since 2020, targeting businesses and government agencies in Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, and beyond. The breaches compromised over 13TB of personal data, some of which was sold on the dark web, with government agencies in certain countries suffering large-scale exposure of sensitive information.

The award also recognized the Group-IB Investigation team’s knowledge-sharing efforts by delivering key insights at the ASEAN Cybercrime Conference 2024, reinforcing collective cybersecurity defenses in the region.

“We are honored to receive this award, and it is a testament to Group-IB’s commitment to strengthening global cybersecurity resilience and fostering international cooperation in the fight against cybercrime. We are grateful to the Singapore Police Force for the recognition of our contributions, and we remain dedicated to working alongside local and international law enforcement agencies and stakeholders, to tackle emerging cyber threats and enhance digital security across APAC and beyond.”
