Ilya Sachkov, founder and CEO of Group-IB, has again become a winner of the EY Entrepreneur of the Year National Award. This year Sachkov won in the “Business Information Security” category.
It is already the third time that Ilya Sachkov wins this prestigious yearly award by Ernst & Young. As part of this event Ilya Sachkov was also awarded a special prize of Forbes Russia. Last year, Forbes International named Ilya among the brightest young entrepreneurs under 30.
To present the awards Ekaterina Tikhomirova, Vice-President of the ACMG Media Group, which includes Forbes Russia, and Andrey Romanenko, founder and CEO of Evotor Company, co-founder of the QIWI payment service, mounted the podium. “Thank you for such a high appreciation and your trust. Participating in this contest is a great opportunity for me to get inspired with new ideas, exchange views with colleagues and communicate with prominent business people, industry leaders. I am very pleased to be still on a winning streak that started in 2015, and I thank everybody who voted for me, you are part of this major event. Thank you!” said Ilya Sachkov at the award winning ceremony.
EY Entrepreneur of the Year is the most prestigious award for entrepreneurs; its national stage has been held in Russia for already 15 years. As stated by the organizers, its main purpose is to put a spotlight on the best people, those whose infectious new ideas inspire their teams to reach the most ambitious goals.
The story of Ilya Sachkov and Group-IB is an example of a real, non-fictional success story: an ordinary guy from Izmaylovo District of Moscow, who didn’t have any special connections or rich parents, started a detective business jointly with his fellow students, which is now developing cutting edge technologies aimed to prevent cybercrime and investigates the world’s most high profile cases! This is a story of a dream come true, of a cast-iron will and non-acceptance of evil in any form! Group-IB is among the world’s top 7 companies that have an impact on information security, according to Business Insider. Global analytical agencies Gartner, Forrester and IDC rate Group-IB’s Cyber Threat Intelligence solution very high. Our congratulations to Ilya Sachkov on a well-deserved victory!
