Group-IB, a Singapore-based cybersecurity company that specializes in preventing cyberattacks, has signed a partnership agreement with ectacom GmbH, a DACH-based business development distributor, whose aim is to pave the way for the company’s further maturing in the German-speaking countries. With its first official distributor in DACH on board, Group-IB can now upgrade the cyber defense of the region’s companies and furnish them with components of its ecosystem for monitoring, detection and curbing constantly evolving cyberthreats that ensures precise attribution of attacks to specific threat actors.
The partnership comes in the spirit of Group-IB’s implementing a channel sales model to ensure a wider access to its innovative products and services to companies worldwide. With the help of ectacom GmbH, Group-IB foresees accelerating its growth on the DACH market and expanding the client base in the region, who will now gain access to the entire scope of Group-IB’s all-round products and services.
DACH is home to many world’s biggest financial and industrial hubs which automatically turns it into an attractive target for financially-motivated threat actors and APT groups. The products that Group-IB is now bringing to DACH with the help of ectacom GmbH, namely Group-IB’s attribution-based Threat Intelligence system and anti-APT solution Threat Detection System, allow to have a clear picture of who is behind the attacks instead of just focusing on indicators of compromise. This approach that forms the basis of Group-IB’s ecosystem allows to have a bigger picture and understanding of the depth of the attacks and adversaries’ further intent, ultimately delivering a comprehensive and more resilient cyber defense that allows to monitor and better prepare for any unwanted intrusion.
In addition, the new partnership gives DACH companies a chance to work with the best in the biz cybersecurity specialists, whose expertise was gained in the work on hundreds of high-profile cases worldwide, which enabled them to learn what threat landscape prevails at this or that region. Group-IB experts will ensure that the delivered services, including security assessment, read teaming, compromise assessment, incident response and investigations, take into account the peculiarities of concrete cybercrime scene, building the cybersecurity systems of their clients resilient not to phantom common threats, but specific cybersecurity problems and threat actors
As part of the cooperation, Group-IB will organize joint trainings to educate ectacom GmbH staff in the entire scope of Group-IB’s advanced technologies to detect and prevent cyberattacks, monitor threat actors’ activities, analyze and response to cyberthreats. Ectacom GmbH, for its part, will be promoting Group-IB’s technology stack to their partner network, transferring the acquired technical knowledge and ensuring that the partners have the needed expertise to presell and install Group-IB products, further supporting them technically, since the greatest degree of communication with the end consumer falls to ectacom GmbH’s partners.
